Default I'm back after a longgggggggggggg time. Questions about machine quilting frames

Hello all !!!

I finally have some time to myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After my aunt passed in February, I was so busy getting things at home
caught up and taking care of my uncle. Home is back to normal and my uncle
is doing well. I finally feel as if I have some time for myself.

I am just getting back to my quilting and have decided to get a home machine
quilting frame. I have a Husqvarna Designer 1.

Any one have one? What kind? How do you like it??? What machine do you
use?

Any info, tips, hints, etc, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome back!

I've got a D1 and love it. I just started sewing again a year ago after 30
years, and traded up four times during the year. Can you say "hopelessly
addicted?"

I don't think I'd put the D1 on a frame, though. Aside from the issue of
harp space, I think it's probably not the healthiest thing for the D1. You
might want to consider something like the Brother 1500, Juki TL98E or
Babylock QPro. They're built to go faster and more continuously, and also
have larger harps. Not a terrible investment, either--I got the Babylock for
$799. I'm using it with a B-Line frame and PCQuilter. *Just got it set up
yesterday, and have been practicing on freezer paper. Today I'll try a
fabric sandwich and maybe a quilt.
