Default Warning!!

If you ever make a quilt that is composed entirely of fabrics that are
covered with spots of varying colors and sizes and you think to
yourself 'you know, it would be so cute and simple to quilt this with
circles all over of different sizes just flowing into each other' --
stop.

Go out into the garage, get the biggest hammer you can find. Go
inside. Take your shoes and socks off and beat the bloody daylights
out of your toes. If you find yourself still contemplating quilting
those cute little circles ALL OVER that nice quilt, go back to the
hammering and continue until the urge to free motion quilt thousands
and thousands and thousands of little free flowing circles disappears
completely from your consciousness.

Then, and only then, may you put the hammer back where it belongs and
take yourself to the emergency room. Tell them it was a quilting
accident. Have them call me. I'll explain. It will make perfect sense
to all concerned.

Love,
Sunny

Sunny, you made me wince in pain and then LOL! I'm glad you did manage
to finish the circles -- if some of them aren't round, so what? No one
is going to attack them with a compass to check, after all. Do we get to
see a photo of this wonder?

I did not give up. I finished quilting. The quilt is complete with
binding, an appliqué butterfly (it's for another Lupus person) and
binding that matches the backing. All that's missing is the label and
then it's off to my friend.

The thing is, a terrible number of those circles are not round.

Other than that, it's just perfect.

Sunny
glad to be back.

Oh good you are at least partly back.
Now I can explain my peaches.

Your mom's fried pies sound yummy, but I bet her dried peaches were
different from mine.
See the ones I have are _freeze dried_ peaches.
They are not the orange-bown leathery kind, they are the bright peach
colored crunchy kind. *Add water, no heat, and you get fresh peaches.
I am thinking to try adding a tablespoon or so of brandy (for which I
will surely go to hell. *Bourbon, _Kentucky_ bourbon most specificly,
is what I was taught goes into a peach pie) to the rehydrating water
and see how that works when the pie is baked.

It is going to have to wait though.
I had thought to make it for tommorow, but kiri has come upon me and
using her feminine wiles has convinced me to make a pecan pie instead.

NightMist
a sucker for a good use of feminine wiles

Nothing has been the same since that house fell on my sister.

I think you are safe. Don't they say that the acohol part disipates
and you just have the flavor of it?
