Default Embroidered Gaming purses.

Recieved a Catlog of an Exhibition [in Tel Aviv] `Purse Tales`. It
includes Many many Embroidered purses, but i was caught in the charm
of
Drwastring velvet GAMING purses , embroidered with silver and gold
thread , family coat of arms on bottom , France 18th century.

Has anyone ever seen such purses , they are esp curious since they are
wide but quite short .

The Gaming Purse survives in the special pouches used by some players of D&D
and similar games to hold dice, tokens etc.

Yeah: I have a nice little leather appliqué bag that I keep my dice in!
And speaking of D&D, its creator, Gary Gygax died the other day! He was
the creator of literally hundreds of role playing games, one of which
(The Keep on the Borderlands) our group played for eleven years. He will
be sadly missed.
