I am SO sick of these idiots raiding our group for Nikes and Choo bags. Do
they REALLY think anyone here would be stupid enough to buy their crap?????

I don't read a lot of unmoderated groups these days, so I don't
know whether they do this everywhere, but I know the spam
in my gmail account has exploded as well (luckily, it goes
in the spam folder).

I don't remember seeing this much spam even last year when I started
HiloBeads - and did a lot of posting because I had a lot of questions,
so I was here all the time.

And, we used to have more posts, bead posts as well as OT
community posts.

(Just noticing that Google has changed my posting address to
the hilobeads one, and I have noticed that I;m getting more spam on
that account too - but they're really good at filtering, all the bead
related posts
including ads (which I don't mind) are going into my Inbox, and the
spam
in the spam folder.)

I haven't been posting half as much as before because I haven't had
much time for beading, let alone talking pictures, and right now I
have a fluffy
tailed cat in my lap who'd love to get petted and probably combed.
