In the morning I'm going to teach a young woman how to cut fabric for
quilts. And probably how to sew. She's never used a sewing machine,
thought she was going to cut 'just blocks' for a 6' x 6' quilt for
each of her bridesmaids and groomsmen (that would be six, and the
wedding in next spring). She's supposed to cut everything out and have
it ready for a 'marathon sewing session' with her future MIL who is 'a
fantastic quilter' who told her to find 'cheap flat sheets' for the
backing and solid colors.

So pray for me .... LOL. I've got Alex Anderson's 'Start Quilting'
and list of the equipment she needs all ready. And my sewing room has
been somewhat mucked out. Or at least hidden or shoved into some
corner where it's less visible.

Wish me luck and patience.

Oh boy. You certainly need prayers, because divine intervention is
your only hope LOL!

I liked your alternate of online gambling much better - or could you take up
selling automatic weapons at garage sales? Taxidermy? Polly

to do fune. She is really lucky to have your help coming along. Hopefully
you can get her on the right track before her mama jumps in to assist.

As a witch, I ofter wear black pants and a black cape with my witches hat.
I like to put baby oil on my face before I paint my face and hands with
green colored thin oat meal ( for warts ) and RED lipstick. Rather
impressive! I just wear my hair straight and sort of un combed.

Sunny, I think you have to "unteach" her a few things first!

Easy now. Let's think about this very carefully. The bride's future MIL is
a fantastic quilter - so the bride says. It might be best all round to not
mess with the bride/MIL relationship. What would you gain if you shattered
that perspective? Polly

Polly, I was very careful not to say anything about MIL's plans. The
only bit I interjected was to tell the gal that if she buys sheets to
use anywhere in the quilt, she needs to be careful to buy 100% cotton
so it will shrink in the same manner as the cotton she's using in the
top.
