Etching glass?
I recently ran across http://www.glass-etching-kits.com/ and love the
product. But I can't help to think that there is another way to get the materials that they offer at a sgnificantly lower price. Is there a company that makes the uv stencil paper? More appropriately, a company that makes the uv stencil paper that can be done in an ordinary printer? Thanks for any help! |

Etching glass?
It appears that this just recently (Nov 2005) hit the market...
the website you are showing most likely is buying (and selling at a markup) from the manufacturer which is http://www.martronics-corporation.com/stencils.html' they have kits - but the film stencils are sold separately near the bottom of the page .... these require both a UV developing source and the "developer" chemical.... the kits seem a bit high priced considering that nothing extremely technical is in them (i.e. you could scrounge most of the stuff from other sources... other than the fancy UV source.) I think that the UV source appears to be the "investment" item - the supplies are not horrendously expensive...
