something like: Twelve Days of Christmas from the magazine "Cross Stitch Collection" Well ya know, I don't actually know what any of them look like--but if you want it done for Christmas, now's probably a good time to start that one. (Note I don't mention WHICH Christmas... I'm not a speedy stitcher) -Bertha -- Cats are always on the wrong side of the door. |

I'm making it for Xmas, which Xmas is as yet to be determined! I stitch fairly quickly, but since all my pleasure stitching gets tossed aside when I model stitch, it doesn't make much progress sometimes! lol Caryn Blue Wizard Designs http://hometown.aol.com/crzy4xst/index.html Updated: 7/7/03 -- now available Dragon of the Stars View WIPs at: http://community.webshots.com/user/carynlws (Caryn's UFO's) |

I started Purple Perfection last September. What I've finished is looking
very nice. I think I'm doing it on 16-ct aida (maybe 18-ct?), silver grey color. Thankfully, I xc'd the chart & enlarged it. I use this as one of my travel projects (aida works better for me for travel-projects, it's getting harder and harder to work on linen in the car -- I blame it on the roads, couldn't possibly be my eyes, right!?) -- I have a clipboard w/ a holding compartment & I keep my fabric, little hoop, highlighter, chart pages, needles, clover cutter in the storage area & clip the ring w/ threads to the clippy-thing. If your roads are like the roads around here, blame it on the needle
that poked you in the eye while stitching in the car... Sounds like you do know how to get it all together and take it on the road. Hope the project continues to develop beautifully! How about Mar-Bek's Nativity? ) I am sooooooo tempted by that piece.
I seem to be stuck in a petit point loop (no pun intended. I love petit point (tent stitch) but I'm now looking at many other stitching projects that involve cross stitch, embroidery, hardanger, and a whole new whack of stitching techniques. Maureen In Vancouver, B.C. I do love that piece (or pieces! lol) It's not in my stash tho, so isn't likely to be started soon! lol Caryn Blue Wizard Designs http://hometown.aol.com/crzy4xst/index.html Updated: 7/7/03 -- now available Dragon of the Stars View WIPs at: http://community.webshots.com/user/carynlws (Caryn's UFO's) |

In article , Rhiannon
writes: it certainly isn't likely to be started soon since I have no idea when I can afford all the supplies. Take it in small chunks. You will want to buy all the fabric at once to ensure it matches, but you can buy the fibers as you need them. You're not likely to finish off more than 5 or 10 colors per pay period, which is an affordable quantity. Alternately, NN offers pre-packs of the supplies, so just hint to one relative that you want the Kreinik pack for your birthday, and to another that you want the DMC pack for Christmas.
