Default New Fabric Store near Orlando

Actually, the store isn't new (it's been around for at least 20 years), but
I've never been there before this weekend and I've never seen it mentioned on
this newsgroup.

It's the Fabric Studio Super Store in Fern Park. They have a reasonably good
selection of quilting fabrics, patterns, and books, but they don't cater just
to quilters. They have makings for hats, purses, and heirloom sewing.
Gorgeous couture fabrics. Notions for all different kinds of sewing. Zillions
of buttons. Even some home dec stuff. They're also displaying the Orlando
quilt guild's raffle quilt for January's show. (Anyone going?)

They're on 17-92, just north of Maitland Blvd. on the east side of the street
(across from the Porsche dealer).

Take I-4 to Maitland Blvd. and go east. Maitland Blvd. ends at 17-92; go
north. The store is the third business on your right.

For those of you staying down in the Disney area, it'll be 20-30 minutes in
non-rush hour traffic once you get on I-4.

My Sister introduced me to that fabric store when I first moved to Florida.
15 yrs ago. I went regularly for years, The discount store or room
attached is where I spent most of my money, but just looking in the main
store can take you hours to see, They have more 2 way stretch for bathing
suits than I have ever seen. The discount place has laces, embroidery sew
ons, ribbons, etc you will never see anywhere else. It's a seamstresses
Disneyland.! Kay
