DS will be in first and he can still wear some 4t and 5t shorts..for long
pants, it's either sweats that I make him, or 6 slims (prefereably with
the adjustable waistbands!!). DD (32 months) is roughly 27 pounds and is
just now wearing 18-24 month clothing - with the waists taken in a bit
sigh

LOL...it sounds like our kids are similar size wise, My 9 1/2 year old DD
will be going into 5th grade in Sept. and the summer clothes I just bought
her were shorts size 6X and 7, and tops size 7/8 :-) She's 52 lbs and 52"
tall. DS is 3 1/2 and still wearing 18mo and 2t pants and 3t tops (he's 37"
tall and 35lbs)

And mine are tall tall - my 6 year old is in size 7 stuff...and it is
getting too short. I have to be really careful with dresses for both
girls, their butt hangs out of stuff that isn't made to be long...

My son is over 6'2" and just lost over 50 lb.. in the last year.
He is looking great! Since DD is an adult woman we won't talk
about her size ; )

Taria, thanks for changing the subject line Kathy.

Thank you!

My son would die were I to share his height and weight at any age on a
public forum to be archived for all eternity. Suffice it to say that we
currently call him string bean ;-)

I have an Ella Roo ring sling which is fantastic! DS2 is 10m now and
can sit safely on my hip so I don't get back ache, and I have 2 hands
free for DS1. I had a baby bjorn type but both boys were quite large so
they grew out of it quite quickly (and it was a nightmare to put on)
I've been recommending my sling to all my friends as I've found it so
useful.

Ps we find that DS behaviour gets really bad if he has too much sugar or
certain drinks, if we keep an eye on what he eats then he's much better.

Gee that's funny.

I have concerns about taking DW with me to a fabric store because the
salespeople only pay attention to her and I become invisible. Of course,
when I go by myself, I'm still invisible. I asked a store manager once if
I needed to bring in my DW so I could get assistance? At least the people
at the Viking shops know me to be an owner and a user! [uuhh, i do get
permission from DW to use the SMs but the serger is mine, albeit purchased
with her permission, and of course she may use it]

If the quilt shop is small, and they were busy, I wouldn't even bring DH
in. Nothing worse than trying to get to something and having a person just
standing aimlessly in the way.
