convection oven for polyclay
I've read the info on specific convection oven recommendation at both the Glass
Attic site and also the archived rec.crafts.polymer-clay, and it seems like most people prefer Welbilt and Toastmaster brands. The problem is that few mention specific model numbers and those that ARE given don't appear to be models that are currently available. Has anyone bought one recently that they like who might be able to provide me with a model number? I have just returned from a fruitless shopping trip to Walmart, Target and Boscovs. No convection ovens at ALL (at least none that I could find). So, it looks like I'll have to go online and buy sight unseen. Hard to buy from the picture on the web, especially when I've never even SEEN a convection oven in person, much less used one for polyclay. I'm not even sure what features are good and which not so beneficial. I plan to use it for polyclay jewelry, so I doubt that I need a big one unless bigger equals better circulation and less hot and cold spots...one of the many things I don't know. Any recommendation are gratefully accepted! Best Wishes, Anita in PA |

I love my large Toastmaster Platinum Convection oven. You don't want to be too close to the heating element--that's what's wrong with the smaller ovens.
