It's a shame you won't ship overseas. All it takes is a jiffy bag and a few
extra cents!

YES!

We've experimented with this, and sending a bead in a padded mailer,
arriving safely from the US to the UK is around 80 cents for airmail. For
bigger amounts, a padded mailer tucked into a Global Priority envelope does
the trick. Smaller GP envelopes are a flat rate of $5 and larger ones are
$9, with a maximum weight limit of 4 pounds for the small one and I forget
for the larger one.

We're out here, we have a good exchange rate and we're happy to buy from the
US, so please don't forget us.

Oooh yes, very good exchange rate! It's nearly as cheap to buy from the UK
if the shipping is reasonable.

Right now with the dollar running at almost 1.9/1 it's great for us to buy
from the US if the people know how to ship with minimum fuss. I won't buy
from anyone who charges silly international shipping prices (ref my
gold-plated marble paddle!!) but there are lots of great bead people who
know what we want and how to send it!

Hmmm... actually, maybe they should be more difficult? My husband thinks
so, he's afraid to look at our credit card bill.

This is quite true! The only inconveniences of shipping overseas to most
countries is that you actually do have to go to the post office, and if
the package gets lost you are totally SOL. As long as you can make it to
the PO once a week and your buyers understand the nonexistence of
tracking or insurance on the packages, it's WELL, WELL worth the extra
PO trip, IMO. There are piles of UK, NZ, and AU buyers, plus I get quite
a few in Canada and a smattering of folks from Japan, France, Germany,
and Hong Kong.

*blush*

I am working on upgrading mine.

My current one is very defunt...and I would be very embarrest to put
the link on here as I have visited some of the websites of the ladies
on here and they are WAY better than anything I have a the moment.

But I will be sure to drop you all a note when I get my new page
up...say in about 2-3 weeks.

I am taking this beading thing fairly slowly, to make sure I do it
right.

Sorry...*blush*

This is a "duh" kind of suggestion, but be sure and put an invoice or
something inside of the package so in case the address on the outside is
ruined or unreadable, the shipper can open the package and send it either
back to you or where it is supposed to go.

It's also nice for those of us who inventory our beady stuff.... It's a real
pain to sort back through PayPal notices to find/print out the one for the
package that arrived "today", when you have only a vague idea when the notice
came. More "professional" that way, too-- and if you're selling beads, you're a
"pro".
