Help
I went to England a couple of years ago and saw beaded necklaces that
had a neckband like a choker, but also had cascading beads probably almost 5 inches in an upside down pyramid shape. I am new to beading and have no idea what to call this pattern so I can look it up or buy it. They were very lacy which I don't show below. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXX XXX X I have a scar on my neck and would like to make this out of peach colored crystals so I could have something pretty to wear when I go out. I think if I could even see one I could pretty much figure out how to design one for me. Any help would be appreciated. |

Close. It is more of a cross between 4990090126 and 4989720418 and
these were made with beads. I think most of it was using a needle and beading thread. I have considered using a metal choker ring, adding beads to the ring, and then putting threads off of that and basically doing beaded macrame for the rest of it. Victoria
are you talking about a broadcollar? http://phoerising.com/ This woman lives near me - she has a few of her kits left, and a good book on how to create these -- If you email her and don't hear right away - wait, as I believe she might be on vacation. I have three kits... and started one in April.... should take me 20 years to finish them all... Shirley,
I have been looking over the necklaces on UK ebay and have gotten many ideas for techniques that I could use to make the necklace I have in mind. Thank you so much for taking the time to look that up for me. This one is really simple and would work - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting Lee On Sat, 30 Apr 2005 14:53:20 +0100, Shirley Shone wrote: Do you mean something like the one that is offered on UK ebay right now. Those aren't the ones I was talking about. They are wonderful! The
problem is I don't think I would live long enough to make the kit up! Those look like you have to know what you are doing. By the time I get that far along I will be far too old to see the beads or even care! LOL. That sounds to me like it's done with vertical netting. I've seen
chokers like the one you're describing. If it's the same thing I'm thinking of, it's easy enough to do. did the triangle part look like the ones in this? http://beadwork.about.com/library/we...africannet.htm -Amber. |

You can make some thing nice with bead netting which is easy to do as well.
Go to a fabric shop and get some pretty braided lace and attach a netted bead design to the lace. I have made several of these that are very pretty. Roxan "Victoria Hirt" wrote in message ... Roxan makes collars that are mind-boggling!!! I've even gotten to try some
on. Absolutely stunning!!! Hey - by the way, when would you like to meet for lunch? I seem to have a bunch of free time and I'm curious about that other bead shop in Carlisle. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "roxan" wrote in message ...
