bat in the house
we had a bat in the house tonight, boy it gave me a bit of a scare when I
first saw it, but then we started looking for it, couldn't find it, went back to watching a movie. A while later it appeared again, we went looking again. This time though, when I put the light on in the puter room, I thought I saw it, but wasn't sure. Called to DH, he got there, and sure enough it was the bat. He took the towel and grabbed it, along with a plastic bag, brought it outside, and then it flew off into the woods. sure was glad to find, catch and release it back outside where it belonged. ... we had a bat in the house tonight...................*snipped* My mother-in-law was just telling me Saturday on the phone that they had a small bat in their house. She thought it was a bird at first. They caught it and she got a good look at it. Someone told her it might have come down the chimney. The funny thing is she lives in Rocksprings, Texas, near the Devil's Sinkhole State Natural Area. She is a member (I think she told us she is a "silver bat") of the Devil's Sinkhole Society and they operate a visitor's center in town with tours going out to the sinkhole during "bat" season. Here is a link to a web page about the Devil's Sinkhole if you are interested: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/sinkhole/ Take care! -- BonnieBlue WIPs: EGA's English Band Sampler ICC Knitted Cardigan Knitted Amish Throw Commit random acts of literacy! Maine-iac Rose @--- remove the thorns to email me Must be the time of the year for little critters to get inside the house. I have brought my plants in from the deck, one is a large cactus. Tonight while my weavinfg friend came by and we were comparing notes on things, there was this ribbit, ribbit of a frog right in the room. A little tree frog has made its way in the house. I guess the whole plant has to go out side again and lets hope the tree frog knows to go home to it's mother...LOL, cricky a frog kwakking in the house, what next. Els -- hate spam not welcome |

You know of course that bats are Angel-mice? hahah
When i was a teenager i found an Albino bat , that was thrown out of his flock, thus i raised him. he used to snuggle under my sweater. mirjam On Thu, 23 Sep 2004 22:47:29 -0400, "Maine-iac Rose" wrote: we had a bat in the house tonight, boy it gave me a bit of a scare when I first saw it, but then we started looking for it, couldn't find it, went back to watching a movie. Hi Rose,
I'm glad you were able to get the bat out of the house. Our neighbor has had to have a man come and set traps at the peak of her roof as her attic had a few in it. The problem was the attic was her bedroom and at one point she said there were four of them in there. It costs her big money, but at least they are gone. Hugs, Nora |

oh I'm glad we got it out also, don't even know who I would call to do it
for us, so we just waited for the right moment. Maine-iac Rose @--- remove the thorns to email me "NoraBalcer" wrote in message ... Hi Rose, I'm glad you were able to get the bat out of the house.
