Default Quilt finished and delivered--WooHoo!

I finished the Crazy Pinwheel quilt I've been working on. I made it for
my niece who is due September 25...the day before my birthday. I told
her to be sure and hold off a day, but she didn't seem to want to do
that! LOL! Her baby shower was yesterday and she liked the quilt. She
wanted to cuddle under it herself but maybe the baby might get to use it
some too.

Pictures are on my webshots quilting page for anyone interested.

Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Sherri! What a perfectly fun quilt,
Makayla will love it!

Very bright & cute!

And I love that Minnesota Hot Dish, too. I have a kit to do one of those -- if
you have the book, it's the one from Cottage Quilts in Elk River, MN.

Love the Crazy Pinwheels Quilt. Is the pattern an original or could I find
it online somewhere?

Donna, It's not an original pattern. I took a class through my guild.
We used a template. It's very easy to do though. I scaled the block
down to make one for a hug quilt. Just draw a square the size you want
the finished block to be. Draw a line down the middle both vertically
and horizontally. Then draw a lop-sided line bisecting one of the small
quarter squares. To draw the lop-sided line, you have to make sure the
short sides are equal and the long sides are equal. That doesn't make
sense, does it? It's really simple to do, just difficult to explain.
In other words, the template for both sides must match so you can just
use one template. Add 1/4 inch all around that smallest piece and make
your template.

Drat! I munged that up.LOL! I have the block drawn in EQ5 for a
finished 6" square.
