Default An OT bit, a happy dance, some S.E.X. and a question :)

First the OT bit: I got married on December 27th

Unfortunately, my mother had her first heart attack just a week later
-- at a young 47 years of age -- and that was pretty darn scary. I
took a week off of work to visit with her and take care of her.

The happy dance is that (1) she's better and (2) I got some cross
stitching done while I was there. One is a rather large Christmas
ornament of a horn with holly and a large purple bow (no picture), and
the other is a Celtic Cross --
http://www.sunraven.us/images/celticcross.jpg. Apologies for the
low-quality picture, but all I had to use was the camera on my cell
phone!

S.E.X -- before Christmas, I noticed that Michael's was having a sale
on DMC which made the price-per-skein cheaper than the 37 Newest Colors
pack, so I picked out the colors one-by-one and took them home,
intending to wind them onto bobbins later. Well, one of my Christmas
presents was that same pack! I wound the whole lot of them yesterday,
and boy do I feel it today!

Does anyone have suggestions on where to find 1/16" cream satin ribbon?
Everywhere I looked today only carries 1/8" and I'm going to do a
wedding announcement-type-thing that requires the 1/16th. It should be
about the same color as DMC ecru.

Thanks!

First of all, all best wishes for your happiness.

Secondly, don`t assume that it was your mother`s "first heart attack",
meaning she can expect to have more. A friend of ours had his "first heart
attack" at exactly that age, recovered well and went back to his work as a
policeman and has NEVER HAD ANOTHER HEART ATTACK - and he`s now in his
eighties!!! Think positive! All the very best to you all, anyway.
