ridgid mold material
Can someone suggest the best product for me to use to make a rigid
mold. Also what I will need to keep the casting agent from sticking to the mold and a weather proof product to do my casting with? Thanks for any suggestions. |

Thanks for any suggestions. Hi Mike, I have done some moldmaking using poly clay so I can then pour in liquid plastic to make the final product. I use a silicone RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) rubber from http://www.jgreer.com/ Look for silicone mold making rubber. You don't have to follow the exact mixing instructions, if you add more catalyst it will make the rubber much firmer (or less makes it more pliable). You can also check www.hobbycast.net, they sell basically the same stuff only a little more pricy. |
