heat setting, WAS can stamps be used on fabric??
I'd use a press cloth, instead of the freezer paper, because the freezer paper has a
plastic coating that will stick to the fabric. It probly wouldn't take the ink or paint off, but i wouldn't want to chance it. -- Jalynne Queen Gypsy (snail mail available upon request) see what i've been up to at www.100megsfree4.com/jalynne or look at my layouts at http://www.azurewave.com/photopost/s...at=500&thumb=1 "CNYstitcher" wrote in message ... Do you put freezer paper over the stamped/inked design and then iron it? I wouldn't want to get ink on the iron. Just clarifying before I get neck deep in this latest brainstorm sigh Larisa Martha in IN wrote: Larissa, My 14 yr old DGD wanted to make a quilt as part of her birthday party/sleepover last year. We ironed white fabric onto freezer paper, bought some gel pens and used stamps and fabric paint that we had. She had the girls all decorate a square (I think we made these at about 10 inches) and they each signed them. I then ironed each one to heat set it and squared up to about 10 inches. We put the whole thing together with some multicolored print used for sashing and it turned out rather well. She tied it with perle cotton. Wouldn't enter it in a contest or show, mind you, but Emily is very proud of it. Martha in IN |

Sorry, didn't mean to give the impression I had used the freezer paper for
pressing. Just used the f. p. as a stabilizer so the girls could stamp, draw and write on the fabric. I probably used a press cloth for the heat setting, not wanting to scorch fab., just don't remember for sure. Martha in IN "Jalynne" wrote in message rthlink.net... this is getting confusing. just to clarify: the freezer paper goes under
the fabric. so, first you iron the back side of the fabric onto the plastic-coated side of the freezer paper, then you stamp it the right side of the fabric, then if you want you can use the press cloth to iron it and set the ink.
