Default Quilts of Valor in News

Yesterday there was an feature in the Daily Press about Quilts of Valor,
with emphasis on the part my local guild has taken in this activity. I can't
seem to copy and paste the link, but you can go to:
dailypress.com
then put the word quilts in the search box.

My little group of four has finished nine quilts for the guild project. We
will have our March bee in a few days, to make yet another Quilt of Valor.

Thanks for sharing that, Pat. I hope the story helps to generate more
interest and more funds for QOV!

Thanks Pat!!

My quilting class @ the senior center I attend makes these quilts. Two
Sundays ago I attended a Blessing of these quilts. There were 165. They
were combined from other participating senior centers in the area. It was a
very moving ceremony. AND a sight to see.

Nana .......hoping the time will soon come that there is NO longer a need
for these quilts.....( Whose quilting teacher is also "Pat" an angel)

Thank you so much for publishing the link here, Ragmop!
We like how the DP wrote this up. We are hoping this will increase the
donation of quilts to the troops. To say nothing of some financial support
for the shipping expenses we incur.
As far as I am concerned, this is the most rewarding quilt making I've ever
done!
