Lovely job! I, too, support our soldiers, but not the war.

Cool quilt! You don't often see orange used in such abundance, and
that makes the quilt unique. The sashing between the blocks is really
becoming too. What a good cause!

this doesn't belong here but neither did the above quote....but
not supporting the war means you're not support our soldiers.
It's on oxymoron. Sure hope you don't tell to many soldiers
that bit of personal thought....would make em feel real good.

someone who's been there and done that and am sick of it

That's not true, and unfair. There are even soldiers in Iraq now who
don't believe that the war is righteous, but they are doing the duty
they swore they'd do. I respect them for that. I won't say which
"side" of the war issue I'm on, but if you guessed, you'd probably be
wrong. It's IS possible to support the military personnel but not the
"cause". IMHO, of course, since all this is subject to personal
interpretation...

And do you imply that you're former military?...if so, thank you very
much for the service you provided..regardless of the "cause", I respect
you for your dedication...

What an exciting quilt!! You might want to tell
the reporter to check the facts though. She
mentions 'American and German Hospitals where
injured soldiers receive treatment.' She PROBABLY
meant the big Medical Center in Landstuhl,
Germany. It is NOT a German Hospital. It is a US
ARMY Medical Center; that is an American Hospital
Also, the hospitals are not just treating
Soldiers; they treat Marines, Airmen, Sailors,
Coasties. IOW, all Service Personnel. What's with
these reporters who can't get basic facts
straight? Again, great quilt.
