Default Sapphire Sewing Machine

Thanks, Cindy..

SNIPPED: Mary, I am _thinking_ they are about $1,500, but I am not for
certain. And
there will most certainly be specials at some point.

Cindy

Get the price ..!....They look fabulous in their online info site but

sure
would love
to know what "affordable" means to them. Thanks !!!. Mary/vt

Hey! I was at a quilting retreat today and we were talking about the
Sapphire. I have a Husqvarna SE, but it weighs so much I hate taking it

to
class and workshops. I lifted the Sapphire at a quilt shop awhile back

and
it _is_ lighter.

Another woman and I are going to a shop on Monday to test drive one. If I
really like it, I may come home with one. It really needs to have a good
buttonhole appliqué stitch. I know it has 2 lights which I love, and it

has
the needle down feature that I love as well. The pressure foot comes up
when the needle goes down when you stop so you don't even need the walking
foot. Plus all the feet I have bought for the SE will fit it.

I tried the fabric mover at a quilt show and it was not for me. The woman
who was demonstrating it couldn't even get it to work.

So I'll report back Tuesday.

I am thinking of purchasing the new Husqvarna Viking Sapphire sewing
machine with fabric mover and stitch regulator. If you have one -
would appreciate your comments. Thanks - Nan- Hide quoted text -

I have researched the price. JoAnn fabrics have them listed for
$1500. I have checked other local dealers (not JoAnns) and they are
selling the Sapphire 850 for $1100.
My DH bought me the Sapphire 850, with several feet, extra needles
etc. for $1300. I picked out what I wanted and he paid for
them. :-)

Oh, I wish they had come out with this machine before I got the SE. It's a
lovely machine.
