Generic walking foot?
I was told that they were available at [I think] Nancy's Notions. I think
they were about $13. By the time I converted it to AUD$ and added postage it certainly wasn't a 'bargain' HTH Dee in Oz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shelly" net dot charter at angel glass Newsgroups: rec.crafts.textiles.quilting Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 10:44 PM Subject: Generic walking foot? Can anyone here tell me if there is a generic walking foot? I want one and I think that would make a nice stocking stuffer for myself . I'm not even sure what brand the machine I'm using is, (it's DH's machine). I have my grandmother's New Home also, that I'd like to be able to swap the foot back and forth on. DH is asking what I want for Christmas and I think this and a quilting and crafty sewing book would be nice to start with. ( I have to remember to make a customized XXXXX large stocking for myself this year, I've been good. hehe Yeah RIGHT! lol Looks like we're definitely going to be moving out west after Christmas sometime, maybe even as late as the spring. I really hate to leave my job but I've been assured that this particular job is always available because most everyone is afraid to work this section of the place. (The residents can be very violent at times and the employees are terrified at the thought of being pulled to this particular unit. It's the Alzheimer's unit.) I love it and wouldn't consider working any other unit. I know that the longer I work here, the harder it will be to leave. There is comfort knowing that as long as I leave in good standing, the door will always be open for me to come back. I can't imagine why I've been sitting here all these years when I could have been at this place working and making money for stash. lol I am missing my quilting though and have several quilts to get done before Christmas. I'm very busy procrastinating right now and "getting ready" to get busy on them. ;o) Shelly --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
