Default OT- NYC'ers fashion advice needed

Hi, I'm going to see "Rent" this weekend and have lunch at Sardi's (I've always
wanted to go there). Are women in NYC still wearing black to everything??
Just wondering.
Thanks,
Patti

Going to the theater has been a "do what you want" thing for many years now.
You can dress up, you can wear jeans, or just about anything in between. My
DD is going to be sooooo jealous that you're seeing Rent. G

And brace yourself. Sardi's is fun, to see all the pictures, but the food is
stunningly overpriced and mediocre. Ya want a really good (but still not
exactly cheap) meal, head over to the Carnegie Deli instead. Best corned
beef special in 5 boroughs. G (I used to work around the corner.)

I dress up too. G Just figured I'd mention that the "dress code" tends to
be a lot more relaxed, except for premiere's. (LOL as if I'd ever get to go
to one!)

I love Katz's!

And for fish, Russ & Daughters is to die for
(http://www.russanddaughters.com/)

Of course, it's not dessert if it's not Veniero's over on East 11th. And I
just found out you can order their stuff online...I"m sunk!

Hubby is Italian, and I'm Scottish, so I will have to try both the next time
I'm in NYC. I cannot remember the last time I had kippered salmon. Yum!
