Default Ceramic-topped tables

Is anyone in this group familiar with ceramic-topped tables? Rectangular
tables are ususally fired in one or two pieces. Round ones have been known
to be fired/constructed in six pieces.

The base material sometimes is volcanic rock or clay.

Thoughts, comments, whatever will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Wayne
