Default Finished 2 quilts today!

I had started on 2 different bright flannel frayed edge-quilts, and I
finished and snipped both of them today. So far that's 5 frayed edge
quilts and about 75 jars of Salsa ready for the bazaar. We'll be making
one last batch of it this weekend. Now on to making the stockings. I
wanted to get the quilts finished first. I still have one non-frayed
edge quilt that I need to buy a backing for and somehow easily quilt and
bind it. The stockings should be easy to do, I already have several cut
out and ready to sew. Also have some other stuff I might throw together
for ornaments.

I hope to get pics made of the quilts and post next week on Webshots.

I tried making some scrunchies for pony-tails too. I made all these
tubes of fabric and bought the elastic, but when I tried to hand-sew the
seam without getting the elastic caught in it, i was all thumbs and gave
up for a while.

Just hope I'm not coming down with something. I managed to get them
finished even while feeling blah. Darn this Texas weather. It reeks
havoc on my allergies.

HoooooBoy. You've gotten so much finished, I'm not sure a Happy Dance is
adequate. Maybe I should go gather up the gators and do a whole line-dance?
Way to go, atta girl and stuff. Do you take the frayed edge quilts to a
Laundromat for the first round? or how do you keep them from clogging up the
washing machine lines? Polly

Oh, If you do, Polly, could you please get DH to take a picture? That
is something I surely would not want to miss.
Thank you kindly!

Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Babs! Looking forward to the pics, and
still contemplating a frayed-edge quilt. I'm thinking of denim and flannel.

Congratulations Babs!! I found out this week to only quilt with cotton.
Darling Granddaughter likes silky things so used wedding fabric to quilt with
on her dinosaur quilt and it stretches! What a mess.

No, I shake off as much as I can and cut all loose threads, then I use
my washing machine and pray. I've made many of these and it hasn't hurt
it yet.

i dry it in our dryer, but I check the lint trap every 20 minutes or so.

PS That dancing gator line sounds like a lot of fun

Yesterday, the gators had a serious case of wandering. One, about 16 feet
long and weighing over 400 pounds, had to be lifted with a tow truck, was
found window shopping on main street in our closest town. The other, just a
little lady, was over at the antique shop sampling the 100 varieties of fish
they have in their Victorian fountain.
I tell them and tell them to stay in the Swamp - but listen? Naaaaah.

Why they just wanted a lil change in the steady diet of chickens. Where
is that Chocolate Button Gal of ours--she needs to send you some
chocolate buttons ...then the gators will stay home again.
Butterfly (and I ain't talking about the mailperson feedin 'em))
