fusing with a drop mold
I have a 6" fluted drop mold and have been trying to make flower shaped
piece where the glass has slumped about 3" in the center . the trouble I have been having is the glass moves in the mold when it is slumped , pulling the glass in from one side . I have tried single and double thick glass . any one know the secret ? I have tried both bullseye and spectrum glass . |

Possibly uneven temperature. One side is hotter than the other and is
slumping unevenly. nJb stephen cartwright wrote: I have a 6" fluted drop mold and have been trying to make flower shaped piece where the glass has slumped about 3" in the center . the trouble I have been having is the glass moves in the mold when it is slumped , pulling the glass in from one side . Try bringing it up to temp slower, and soak it just below your target
temp for a more controlled slump. -Kalera stephen cartwright wrote: I have a 6" fluted drop mold and have been trying to make flower shaped piece where the glass has slumped about 3" in the center . the trouble I have been having is the glass moves in the mold when it is slumped , pulling the glass in from one side .
