Default Project longing

I only have a couple Xst projects not in storage currently, and
stupidly I didn't grab one of the Long Dog Samplers to be one of them.

I love the TW Welcome I'm working on, I do, but stitching it doesn't
provide the same level of relaxation and stress relief that the
monotone samplers do. It's coming along well, I'm very pleased with
it, and it will look lovely in the foyer, but....

After a day that starts at 5 a.m. waking the teens for school, doing a
few household chores, running out the door to work 8:30-5:30, rushing
home to cook or finish cooking dinner, cleaning up after dinner it
would be nice to be able to totally relax and just stitch away in one
color taxing my brain to merely count sts.

A friend on AOL suggested that since my new bedroom will be cream,
burgundy and gold I should do a Long Dog in cream silk in burgundy
linen. Is there a reasonably priced burgundy linen anywhere? I feel
like I deserve to treat myself to silks at this point, I've been
resisting the temptation for ages now. I haven't calculated how much
silk I'd actually need for one of the Long Dogs....I'll probably want
to faint when I do! lol
