Hi Lorraine,
I bought the 1/4", which worked wonderfully. I went back tonight, and bought 200 yds of it (12.96). I also picked up 3/16", the largest package was 100yds(4.99). And the best deal was the 75 yds of neon cord, which I got in purple. that only cose 2.99.... Looks like I am set for awhile. Good luck Teri -- Teri http://gallery.ppwp.com/gallery/Tquilts "The Brown Family" wrote in message ... I was there also and saw a blend, but wasn't sure whether to get it or not. What thickness did you get? Lorraine "Terbear" wrote in message news:Wll_d.256711$0u.75998@fed1read04... I bought the blend at Home Depot, and it works just fine. It is very sturdy & shapes easily. I am going back today to buy more & to buy the thinner clothesline. Teri -- Teri http://gallery.ppwp.com/gallery/Tquilts "The Brown Family" wrote in message ... Grrrrrrr.......can someone tell me where you buy this? I have just been out to 4 stores and cannot find it anywhere. I live in Canada and I've been to Zellers, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire and Home Depot. Of course I just ripped all the fabric into strips, took off threads and ironed them ready to go. I'm just a little frustrated......wanted to try this today. Thanks, Lorraine |

I did see the blended kind at Home Depot, which was cheaper than the cotton I
got at Home Hardware. Since Terbear said it worked good for her, I'll have to go back and get some. But with the stuff I bought today, I just finished a bowl about 5 minutes ago.......it is so cool. Thanks sooooo much for the instructions, I really appreciate it! I'd like to make coasters and a hot pad now. Lorraine "Liz & Allan MacDonald" wrote in message newsIm_d.7369$aS5.2907@trndny05... How frustrating! Can you find any kind of cord or rope? (Nylon, polypropylene?) I used clothesline because it looked like it would work and 200 feet was $11.50. Maybe they're calling it sash cord. Look in the area where they have brooms & mops. That's where I found mine.

Try using upholstery piping cord. It comes in several different sizes
and isn't terribly expensive. I know that Jo-Ann's carries it, I am sure that anyplace that sells home dec fabric should. I have used the big stuff that is very soft even........ I got 100 feet of 3/16" cotton clothesline at Wal-Mart for about $3.00 this
morning. It was in the section with the clothes hangers and hampers. I also got a packet of jeans needles for my sewing machine for $1.50 so I figure I'm set to go! I grabbed 2 packages at walmart, right near the rest of the laundry
stuff/storage components....had to go on a hunt, just to make sure that i hadn't lied to you about them carrying it. Pati Cook wrote: Try using upholstery piping cord.
