fabric bowls
Are you making fabric bowls? They're fun and great use for one's stash.
However, the Timtex stabilizer is expensive....so you should use up the leftovers and not throw them away. Sometimes you're left with smaller squares or rectangles of the Timtex but perhaps you don't want to make small bowls. I have been successful in sewing together pieces to use for new bowls! Basically I but the edges together and zigzag a seam. The piece becomes a rectangle and a really nice looking rectangular bowl. I center the seam so that when I cut out 2 of my darts, some of it's removed. Also, you can do some free-motion quilting in the center base which helps disguise the joining seam. |
