Threading help please
I have just purchased a new yamata model FN2-5 five thread overlock
sewing machine. It came threaded of course but when I tied my thread on to it and attempted to sew, 3 of the threads broke off. The instruction book is in chinese (no kidding) with a very poor English translation and even worse drawing of the thread paths. Can any one help me please? |

In article .com,

Sad to say, after you tied the ends in, you should have drawn them through by hand rather than just stick your foot on the pedal. On a 4-thread, it's *generally* (not always) upper looper - lower looper - needles. I suggest you pop it back to the dealer and ask them to show you. -- AJH alpha dot hotel echo yankee whisky oscar oscar delta at tango echo sierra charlie oscar dot november echo tango |

I have an Elna 5 thread overlocker, thread order is upper looper, lower looper, looper needle, lower thread of chain stitch and lastly the needle thread of the chain stitch. As suggested above, take it to the dealer and once it's threaded right take a photo so you'll have a good visual reminder of where each thread goes. -- Melinda http://cust.idl.com.au/athol |
