OT - Just checking in

Well, I finally got home. 13.5 hrs after I left the hotel! The shuttle got
me there 2 hrs early. Then they said there were mechanical problems with the
plane. So they put us on the one at the next gate. That didn't leave for
another 2 hrs. So, I got home 2 hrs later than expected. Not as bad as it
could have been.

Visited with a salesman from Munich waiting with me, so I had someone to
talk to for the next 6.5 hrs. Then I saw some quilters waiting for the same
plane. They had bought some of the same stuff as me, so we chatted a while.

The only PITA/stressful time was when they landed at gate F in Philly (only
terminal you have to shuttle to and from) and I had to get to gate B10. That
was about 10 min on the OTHER side AFTER I got to the right building. So I
ran. I had 20 min til boarding. I got there. Dead gate. They had changed it.
Guess what to.... Yup, the gate 4 down from where the shuttle puts you. I
had to RUN back to the other gate and got there with about 10 min to spare.
Then they were delayed in boarding us, so I didn't have to run afterall. I
thought I was gonna have a heart attack. It was like going from one end of
the convention center to the other as fast as you could lugging 50lbs of
luggage. Thankfully, last flight wasn't crowded. It was a 3 seat row with
the middle seats empty in every row. Comfy. So good to be home!
