Sitting there all quiet and still

Then I bashed his effin head.

Go to sleep
you little creep
don't you dare make one peep
if you do
I'll take a shoe
and beat you till you're black and blue.

Elizabeth (who wonders why nobody will let her babysit anymore LOL)

You sound tough enough for my two!

I've got that glare that can stop a fussing child at 20 paces... Don't
care much for infants, which is why I don't have any kids, but I like
toddlers and on up.

Mary had a little lamb
but now the lamb is dead
but he still goes to school with her
between two slabs of bread.

LOL - I worked at a summer camp (sleep away) for many years. When the
on-duty (OD) guarding certain cabins couldn't get the kids to sleep, or
settle down (rest of staff off after 10 pm) they'd come get me. In those
days, I was on the admin staff, and ran the riding program - didn't live
with a group of kids. Evidently, I was kind of scarey, and had this
technique of slamming into the room, glaring, and scaring them into settling
down. For the tough cases, usually 12 yr old girls, we'd make them "be a
tree". Would have them come out onto the lawn between some cabins, and the
girls lodge, and stand there, in night clothes, with arms out - be a tree,
and be still. They especially didn't like when the staff coming back from
the mini-night off would return, check in at the admin office, and then
hang-out on the wall in front of the lodge. Those little girls - not happy
about the cute guy counselors seeing them out there being trees.

Ah, those were the days.
