That "ADVERT" thing as far as I know is pure bunk as far as r.c.t.s and
a.s. are concerned. Maybe it's acceptable in a different group that is
included on this, but the How to Advertise on Usenet FAQ sure doesn't
include it and I have never personally seen it used before (and I have
followed lots of newsgroups in my time) except by spammers.

I consider ALL ads on the user newsgroups to be spam and would never order
from any of them, even if I had been looking for a similar item, especialy
if it had ADVERT in the subject.
