My sister-cousin Linda passed away today!

I just received a phonecall from Liam (Linda's son) who told me that his
mother passed away today at 12:25 PM. I am heartbroken, but I know it is a
blessing that she is no longer in pain. The service will be held on Friday
in Toronto, but as much as we want to we cannot afford to make the 3 - 4
hour trip. We have exactly $25 left to get gas for Matthew to go to work
for *one* day (tomorrow), and no more money at all until the end of the
month. I am just so very happy that we were able to go and have a nice
visit with Linda a couple of weeks ago. Please say a prayer for Linda's
final journey!

*hugs*

My sympathies to you and your family in your time of grief. When my uncle
passed away, I wasn't able to attend, but I had been to see him 2 months
before and got to visit while he was still alive. I think it meant more.

I'm sorry to hear that. But, please be comforted that she's no longer
suffering.

Dear Gemini!
This must have been very hard for you!
I guess we "understand" when our parent-generation dies.
But when we loose someone from our own generation, it is very different,
and when it is someone who is SO close as a sister, it is very difficult
to cope with!
My warm thoughts, Gemini!!
hugs,
Aud

Hello--
My newsgroup connection wasn't working for about 3 months; and now I just
got the posts and-----------
I am sending my sympathy to you G; as I have just lost my younger sister
only 3 wks. ago! So I can relate. It is so difficult. I have been knitting
quite alot, just to stay busy and not think too much. We had a wonderful
ceremony and threw a wreath into the Pacific ocean with flowers that each
person had placed in it.
Best to you and nice to be with the 'group' again,
Merri
