Default changing the technique

Sometimes i see a nice sweater /vest/shawl in knitting and wonder how
it would look in crochet and vice versa ... it is a nice thinking
process, to try and work it out ,

I've done that quite a few times, usually from crochet to knit. I
find that knit has a nicer hand and drape, and I enjoy doing it more,
too.
