Default Singer Model 5528

I'm new to this group and I have a question.

A neighbor has a Singer 5528 for sale and I want to know if anyone has
this and if you like the machine? I checked online and it's from about
1980-1982. It's only $40.00. I haven't got to see the machine, so I
don't anything about it. Is it a slant?

I have an older 401A which is a great machine although it doesn't do
anything too fancy.

So what do you think?

Thanks,
Leslie

Whether or not you get the 5528, keep your 401 also.

Hi Leslie

I sure do agree about keeping your 401A. Although not fancy it will las
more than a lifetime if well taken care of. My rationale on you
neighbor's machine would be go try it out and if you like the feel an
it seems in good running order the $40.00 price is worth the gamble

Good luck

Beck
