Default My Featherweight is Home!

1995? Those machines make a beautiful stitch. I like using
mine in the card table for them. I have my grandma's and have
made baby quilts for great nieces and nephews on that machine.
Kind of a sentimental thing. I take mine to classes to. Wonderful to
piece on.
There are several things you can do for the smell. Charcoal,
kitty litter, bar of smelly soap. Just leaving open for a week
or so in dry air helps. The smell is what I call a FW smell.
I don't mind it at all. You might want to get the Nancy Srebro-Johnson
book to learn all about your machine. Glad it is home safe.

My shipment of 'stuff' from Mother's arrived today. It's a 1995 model with all
of its little feet in a box. Only problem is that the case has some mildew (?)
on it and smells musty. Any suggestions for curing this problem? BTW, does
anyone actually sew on these machines?

My FW is used all the time. I spent a small fortune on a fancy Janome, but
it has not been touched for several years.
