What's everyone working on?
Hugs,
Noreen

who knows there are 2 people who are going to ask: what is the
purpose of this question, because apparently, THEY have something to
hide, I guess!

I'm spinning froghair.

I'm plugging away on my A$ aran. I have the body and saddles done,
the sleeves are acting like a PITA for a variety of reasons, mostly
having to do with my lack of the correct circular to make them on.
DPNs early on (like, the pick up round) are just driving me nuts, and
they'll continue to make me nuts until I finish the sleeves because of
all the cables and purl stitches and my absolute inability to arrange
the stitches so that I *don't* have to purl the first stitch on the
next needle.

I bought the boy a *REAL* *PIANO* today, which is being delivered
tomorrow. Must find somewhere to wedge it into the house where it
won't end up in an echo chamber. Sometimes there's little to be said
for concrete floors and hand-laid plaster walls.

A friend gave me a Passap Duo80 (manual punchcard, not electronic,
otherwise full-dress), which looks quite intimidating. I'm used to a
weenie Japanese machine that turn out yardage and more yardage and
does nothing fancy. The machine I have with a ribber doesn't qualify
as a working machine since it has no carriages, so a dual-bed knitting
machine will be a real learning experience for me I have to find
somewhere in this room to wedge that into. It may be time for me to
admit that I don't need to have four "spare" computers sitting on a
table in the corner doing not much; making such an admission will let
me rehome the machines (suitably wiped) and give me enough space to
wedge in the monstrous knitting machine. Maybe.

And that's what I'm working on.

Okay, I'll respond, although I usually don't.

I just started a Lily Chin afghan for a christmas present - more than enough
time to complete it. And a fair isle cardigan that I found in a book.
First fair isle on the knitting machine, so we shall see how that turns out.
And the usual grouping of socks, slippers and hats for everyone.

Hi Noreen!

I'm working on things for myself and my children this week, rather than
stuff to sell. A nice change! So far, two pairs of 'very cool, Mom'
wrist warmers with a third on the way and a scarf for myself out of
Patons Anna.

What, exactly, is 'so cool' about wrist warmers? In August in the
Northern Hemisphere? Well, besides the fact that one pair has (ugh)
fuzz trim and the other is camoflage?

Also took delivery of lots of White Buffalo 3-ply and 10 balls of the
Anna. So lots of potential too!

I'm working on another gift for yet another baby due to a friend of mine
(all of the babies are not due to the same friend - thank goodness because
there is one each month August through January!). It's a pair of pants to
go with the hooded sweater I just finished. Love knitting baby clothes -
they go fast and they are CUTE

LauraJ (who's wondering if she'll ever have time to knit for her own baby!)

I'm working on my Lacy Prairie Shawl (only 6 more rows of pattern
stitch!); my second Yankees sock (only a couple more rows of ribbing
and binding off); my second Claudia Mardi Gras sock (still on the
foot); my red scarf for the Red Scarf Project (abput 1/5 done).

I am still working on an afghan for a wedding present and a pair of
socks for my grand daughter Ava.

I have to get a little more motivated with my knitting and crocheting.

I have also been working with the knitting sheaths a little bit.

Things have been kind of rough here, to many things going on. We had to
get the doors widened for Gail's wheel chair to get through the house
and and the wood floors in our bedroom and the living room refinished at
the same time. It has really cut into our crafting budget.

Hugs to all and God bless,
Dennis & Gail
