I'm over in Wallsend - used to go to a riding school in Wallsend Rd, Cardiff for most of my childhood! Isn't it a small world??? ;-D Maybe we could, sometime, try for a mini meet? We're at the bottom of the hill, near the soccer fields. -- Melinda http://cust.idl.com.au/athol Wallsend? Coo! Now there's a thing! I did my teacher training and met the DH in Durham, he comes from Sunderland, and the in-laws still live in South Shields. We have friends in Washington. Next time I'm going up that way - in March - we might try a meet-up somewhere like Dainty Supplies! It'll depend on the time - we're going up for the Washingtom air's 25th, and they'r hiring a village in Northumberland for the festivities! (Pub lunch booked for 25, village hall booked for hooly in evening - complete with Morris dancers and band - and about 10 holiday cottages booked for the guests!) Let's see... I can give up wine, men, and most of my lavish
lifestyle...eating...if I sell the kids, I think I can swing it. Question is, can I give up buying fabric?? Not if you're going to Paris, you can't! There are so many great places to cadge deals, especially in Montmartre, you need to be saving up, starting now, my dear! It's too darned bad that the airlines has gotten so sticky about taking things on planes. Grump, grump. Karen Maslowski in Cincinnati |

I bought the adapter foot for my Bernina 930. It allows you to attach any short
shank foot onto it. I use this for the generic invisible zipper foot, a teflon no stick foot and a clear quilt seam foot. It doesn't have a number on it, but was one of the best purchases I've made. Teri |

Melinda and I live in adjoining suburbs of Newcastle (in the Cumberland Shire of New South Wales). It's about 150km north of Sydney (for those who live OS and don't know...) Newcastle has lots of suburbs named for places in the UK: Wallsend (where I live); Cardiff (where Melinda lives); Swansea; Heddon Greta; Branxton (a bit farther out); Cessnock; Aberglasslyn; Aberdare; Largs; Lorn; Wickham; Islington... and that's without trying - there's lots more! I read somewhere that Sting grew up in Wallsend in the UK. Wish he'd come and visit *our* Wallsend! ;-D -- Trish {|:-} Newcastle, NSW, Australia |
