I posted a message yesterday and it didn't show up either. I checked Google
and it's not there. I had S.E.X in the message title, so maybe it got filtered! Geesh, we're talking fabric here folks, not THAT sex! Anybody see my post about my Florida S.E.X and visit to mom? -- Alice in NJ RCTQ - "Royal Cybrarian" www.ourcyberfamily.us "Friendship make prosperity more shining and lessens adversity by dividing and sharing it." Mine did that for a few months. Then they got bought out. lol
Best advice I can give ( and I may have given it to you already ) is to make sure you aren't grouping by conversation or thread, then sort them by date. Highlight all the ones with older dates and select "Mark Read" Then go back and group them by thread ( if that's the way you read in the first place). It at least saves some time. Outlook Express also lets you "Hide Read Messages" under View. Then all you see are your unread ones. No need to scroll thru the others. HTH, Elena who often has to go back to Show All Messages because I want to refer to the original message. "Diana Curtis" wrote in message ... How much fabric would it take to make my isp stop picking up old messages again and again? And always ones I have already read? I dont know the appropriate rituals... are there types of fabrics that work better than others to appease the goddesses of UseNet? Diana -- http://photos.yahoo.com/lunamom44 "frood" wrote in message . com... I can't explain it either. There are two people on here (Hi, Sharon!) that whenever I reply to their posts (I can't remember who the other person is), my reply disappears into cyberspace, never to be seen! It is in my out box, but never shows up on google, or my newsreader. But my other replies and posts are fine. I suggest you perform a cybergod-appeasing ritual with fabric and rotary cutter. If you don't know the appropriate one to do, just send me the fabric, and I'll be happy to perform it on your behalf. -- Wendy http://griffinsflight.com/Quilting/quilt1.htm de-fang email address to reply "Clooniff" wrote in message ... I'm confused. I've tried to post something three times, once through my Outlook Express, twice through Google. The one post (a response to a post) finally showed up on Outlook, never showed on Google. The Google posts, new ones, have never showed up either place. Meanwhile I've noticed alot missing from one viewing platform that shows on the other and vice versa. For instance, on Outlook I get alot of "..." postings when the original post never appeared, so it's a good thing not to delete what you are responding to from your answers. But why, oh why, doesn't everything come through? By the way, my posts were about coming to Seattle on Friday for a week at my DDs. Did anyone see them? Reply privately, because I probably won't see your answers otherwise. Betty in CT |

On Google, try using keywords to search for posts, sometimes posts are
grouped by topic with earlier posts and are listed under that heading for some reason, the way that it is archived. kitty in phx -- http://community.webshots.com/user/kittykatchee |

Google can take up to 9 hours to show your posts.
Also, if you change the subject line *at all*, it puts your message someplace other than where you meant to put it! Dragonfly been posting via Google for far too long....
