These are 30 yard spools. Good for the punch needle people.

There are some people here who, write so much about drinking, that
they might use their longest needles to mix their punch
drink ..::: .... but usually a punch needle is used for a
technique that is called Tambour embroidery [looks like chain
embroidery] , or like another technique where people pull thin cut
cloth `threads` through a canvas or Jutah. mirjam

I saw that. What is punch needling?

Sometimes it is called Russian embroidery, or Russian punch embroidery.
Threads are pushed through a fabric base with a needle, so that it ends up
looking a bit like very fine rug hooking.

I have a book called
Hooked Rugs By Ann Davies and Emma Tennant, Sterling publishing,
1995,
that shows [and explains] how to hook rugs with a Hook , and the
techniqueis similar to Tambur or Punch needling ,,,
