Default Miss Marple knitting

Has anyone seen the new Miss Marple TV series with Geraldine McEwan as
Jane Marple? I noticed that the titles to the series start with a ball
of yarn and knitting needles, and I just noticed tonight what and
interesting sweater she was wearing, a sort of oatmeal or beige cardigan
with crossover collar tabs fastened with big leather buttons. She also
wears long plain knitted coats as well. I wonder whether there are old
pattern pictures that would reflect her clothes (this series is supposed
to take place in the late 40s).

Can't think of any place in particular, SPampot, but a search on vintage
knits circa 1940s should find something.

Oh Great !!!
I haven`t seen it yet , but do you suppose , they will sell the
patterns like they did with the `Poncho`?
ps i think the Piecework is advertising [ and selling ] from time to
time a reprint of An old Books series about with Patterns of all
sorts.

I've not seen the series, but the books are full of her knitting; there's
a plot where shesolves the mystery while buying yarn, iirc, and always
she's got some project on the go.

I am also very curious about Miss Marple's sweater. Have you found a pattern for the crossover sweater?
My etsy shop is : marymakesart.etsy.com, you can reply to me either here or there. Hope we can solve this mystery! Mary
