Default Non-XS wedding sampler

If anyone knows of such a thing, please let me know.

Since last we typed, my son and soon to be daughter in law have told me that
they're looking at places to hold their wedding. IOW, they're chomping at the
bit to tie the knot vbg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Victoria Samplers Heirloom Wedding Sampler.

In my experience, there's not a lot of x-stitch in these.

That is absolutely beautiful but I don't have the knowledge to do it. I
should've said 'non counted thread' rather than non-xs.

It's nowhere near as hard as it looks, Anne. That's the beauty of
Victoria Sampler.

As for non-counted, I'm not any help, but I'll bet Dianne has some
ideas. Also, Jenny June or the Country Bumpkin.

Truly, it isn't difficult, and I've always found the
VS instructions to be very clear and comprehensive.

Best wishes,

I've never done anything that required pulled or snipped threads. I might be
able to do the heart area. This gives me an excuse to visit LNS to see if they
have the pattern ;-)

Go check it out, and then grab a little scrap of fabric and
try it out! Pulled and snipped threads seem intimidating at
first, but I think you might well be surprised how easily they
work up. You can definitely alter the pattern a bit to skip
the cutting if you like, but once you give it a little try,
I think you'll look back and wonder what you were so worried
about ;-)

Best wishes,
Ericka

The description of the model say "Creamy white silk threads, white silk ribbon,
shimmering metallic and soft white perle cotton..." and further down the page
is list of supplies.

I'd appreciate it if a kind soul would tell me which of those supplies are the
silk threads (kreinik and ???) as well as giving alternative suggestions. If I
do a piece, I'm veering towards all white or mostly white with a smidgen of red
to match the just selected bridal party color scheme.

My 'kids' are moving ahead fast with their plans and are planning an early
December wedding ;-)

The silk threads a
Au ver a soie 3443 warm taupe
Silk Mori 8000 white

Not sure about the Trebizond, as I've never used it.

You'd have to get to a conversion chart to see what would work for the
3443. White, of course, is just white, easily substituted.

However, I would think for this piece that the silk threads might be
used because of their peculiar sheen, and be an integral part of the
overall appearance. Neither of these threads is hard to obtain, nor
very costly, so not sure why you'd want to substitute for this very
lovely sampler.

The trebizond is also silk - approximately equivalent to a perle cotton, but
certainly with more sheen.
