OT posts
Are there any ON TOPIC posts in this group anymore? If not, then why bother
to preface your post with OT (off topic or so I assume?). I have an ON TOPIC question for you. Does anyone here do Swedish Weaving? I'd be interested in knowing where you buy your cloth as Wal-mart seems a bit pricey to me. Ashara |

Probably you should repeat your question in another post, since there are
probably a fair number of people ignoring posts labelled off-topic. Are you looking for an on-line source for the fabric you mentioned, or a shop in your area?? Dawne |

lol, but my question was an ON TOPIC post, not off topic. Unfortunately,
they start with the same letter. Yes, Swedish weaving, as I understand it is also known as huck weaving. I can't imagine trying to do huck embroidery/swedish weaving on a sheet (not with my eyesight anyway). No, I'm not looking for an on-line source as I don't shop on line. I was just wondering if there was anyone in the group that does this form of embroidery and where they buy their fabric. If you do this form of embroidery, do you use yarn or embroidery floss for your thread of choice? Ashara -- just me "Dawne Peterson" wrote in message ... On my newsreader, your post was headed OT, which most people would take to be Off Topic. I did not say your question was off topic, just that the header could lead people to think it was, and ignore it. I asked about what kind of source you were looking for since I find it frustrating when people suggest, for example, chain stores that do not exist in my country. I did not intend to be bitchy. Generally netiquette suggestions you use "OT:" for off topic posts. That way one can filter on the "OT:" and not miss every post that has the letters "ot" in the subject (not, hot, lot, etc.). Once you've filtered out all the "OT:" messages there's still *plenty* of on topic discussions left! --Charlene -- Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm. -- Steven Wright -- email perronnelle at earthlink . net |

If you're REALLY concerned about getting viruses from newsgroup
messages, just go no mail for a while and read the messages at the Google website. It's really not so bad and it will insure you don't download anything at all to your computer. Paula B. "Pat Porter" wrote in message ... My ISP Status line tells me that most customers are having problems with their PCs and particularly downloading emails etc, due to the current worm infestation. It`s certainly knocked the newsgroup downloads for six, although I`m getting swamped with virus laden emails. Don`t worry - McAfee`s dealing with them all, so I`m clean! Using Mailwasher (an excellent free programme from New Zealand) I`m delighted to see that all the spam is getting bounced back to the inititating companies, complete with worm! (That may be technically inaccurate, but it makes me feel good!). Pat P. "Ashara" wrote in message ... Are there any ON TOPIC posts in this group anymore? well since you intend to close ranks against the new kid, I guess there's
not much point in staying. I thought I'd find some fellow needlecrafters here but all I'm finding is a bunch of off topic posts and a big click. Enjoy yourselves! Seems you deserve each other.
