That is beautiful, Shelagh! Tell us how you blocked it, as I will
be blocking a shawl this year, if all goes well.

Higs,
Katherine

Thank you Katherine. I followed the instructions that came with
the pattern. I put it in the sink to get it soaking wet. Gently
squeezed the water out, rolled it in a towel, and don't wring it.

Then laid it out on the towels, made sure the centre line was
straight, pinned the very bottom feather first, then the top of the
shawl. After that I alternated side to side pinning the crochet
edging until it was all done. Now, I wait until it dries. In
this case, they recommend a very light spray of starch to help
the points keep their shape.

That is magnificent Shelagh. It is such a rich colour yet looks dainty and
fragile. You will look like a princess when you wear it. :-)

Shelagh,

Your shawl is beautiful and looks so hard to do. Now, you should get a
picture taken with you wearing it.

Hugs,

Nora

The sound of my jaw hitting the desk:

KLUNK!!!

Now where do I find the time to make a masterpiece like that? Not likely
for a while.

Thank you. I used a metal 3.5 mm circular, which eventually
wasn't long enough when I had over 300 stitches on it. So,
I bought an Addi Turbo lace 47" circular. I wish I had
bought it sooner. Those needles are a dream to work with.

I wanted to order the Knit Picks wooden Harmony needles
but they're out of stock. So in the meantime I've ordered
a 3.00 mm and a 3.25 mm metal circular from them to
compare with the Addi.

I have a new shawl pattern I want to try, called The Hanami:
http://pinklemontwist.blogspot.com/2007/02/hanami.html

However, I have Christmas knitting to finish up first (smile)
and two pairs of socks for me. Both pairs are at least
half done.
