Default I'm baaack!!!

Hi!

After eight years of intense changes in my life, including earning a
Master's degree in psychology, I finally managed to find my way back to the
group. I'm obviously way behind and have no idea what's going on any more,
but in time I will catch up. Unfortunately, due to a lack of time and the
hit my stash took from Hurricane Katrina, I haven't been indulging my
passion for needlework (except sporadically) over the last several years.
Well, I hope to get to know you all again (or for the first time) and to
learn and relearn some stuff from you all, as well. Meanwhile, until I
regain my "sea legs", I'll probably be doing a lot of lurking. Good to be
back!

Beth

Thanks, Bobbie! I'm surprised you remembered me. Pleasantly surprised.
BTW, thanks for the invite to the Navy.Togetherweserved site. I'm flattered
that you remembered that I am a fellow vet!

Well, I lost most of my charts and nearly all of my fabric. I'm mostly into
36 ct. linen and the following themes:

Nautical designs
Blackwork
Kimono designs
Butterflies
Lighthouses
Sailboats
Tropical fish (reef fish)
Samplers
Beaded designs
Houses and other buildings

I used to do a lot of MLI and TW stuff. I had all the seasonal carousel
horses. Alas, they were drowned in the flood. My floss collection
survived. It was stored above the flood line. I really appreciate the
offer of help. Thank you so much.

Beth, I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in the time since you were
here last. I can remember most things but the fibrofog can make me do
some very strange things. Today is a good day and I'm getting alot done.

here is a link to my photo album
http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x...bbieViorritto/

There are a lot of needlework photos and family albums. Both of my boys
are married, The eldest is in the navy, stationed on board the USS
Ronald Reagan, and I will have my grandson and DIL here from Japan next
month. DS#2 is in DC doing his internship and residency in pediatric
neurology. His wife Irene, and Chris's wife Ayako, both stitch and we
have had a great time. DD Sarah is graduated from College and now seeing
a steady boyfriend for a couple of years.

I have been able to find a couple of old navy friends so far and I have
had a good time catching up with them all.

I hope you get a look at the temari album. I'm still a novice at it.
Have finished many other pieces of needlework though. Time to get the
camera out and add some more finishes to the page.

So, whereabouts are you? Or, as they say around here, "Where y'at?".
Several of my friends lost everything or most of their stuff, but I was
very fortunate that we live on the high ground. OTOH, I landed in
hospital with pneumonia after we evacuated!. Oh well.

Olwyn Mary in New Orleans.
