Pie Are Square, prints are not
You know how this is going to end, just smile along as you read it. I was
in an appliqué mood so I stitched 3 kittens and 3 pair of mittens on a lovely soft fabric. The background base is 4-patches printed in gentle shades of blues and purples. The crib quilt needed just a little more color so I framed it with a skinny border of pink with tiny daisies and then a purple strip. The background fabric is cut precisely by the printed blocks so there was really no need to measure, right? Wrong. The quilt is l and 1/8" longer on one side than the other. Do you think anyone will notice? Polly |

I dunno -- but you could add two more border all the way around -- kind of
wonky borders... squaring up the outside -- but you could trim what you have now a bit to "wonky-ize" it a bit. Clear as mud, right? See what I mean in my webshots album -- WAGS - row by row... that might help! -- Kate in MI http://community.webshots.com/user/K_Groves "Polly Esther" wrote in message ... That will solve it, Kate. Thank you. And...isn't it about time you updated
and gave us a new picture of that sweet puppy? (or did puppy eat the camera?) Polly "Kate in MI" wrote in message ... Hubby set this up -- not sure it is a public folder or not -- but we'll try:
http://samson2006.shutterfly.com/ (I hope it works!!) Pictures from last week up in Suttons Bay, MI -- which is just north of Traverse City on Lake Michigan. Needless to say -- Jasmine LOVED the water! -- Kate in MI http://community.webshots.com/user/K_Groves "Polly Esther" wrote in message ... That will solve it, Kate. Thank you. Fantastic collection Kate. As to the 'who's in charge'? I would hazard
a guess that it isn't the humans g .. In message , Kate in MI writes Hubby set this up -- not sure it is a public folder or not -- but we'll try: http://samson2006.shutterfly.com/ (I hope it works!!) Do you think anyone will notice? Polly I don't know too many babies who come equipped with a tape measure, Polly. I'm sure everyone will be much too busy admiring your adorable kittens and mittens to notice the difference in the length of the sides. -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas sw.foster1 (at) gmail (dot) com (remove/change the obvious) http://www.sandymike.net |

The kittens and mittens are cute but the off-square is bothering me just a
little. I think I'll correct the wonk just a little with the rotary and then add another border or two to bring it into square. Being off ¼" or ½" wouldn't be so bad but this is ridiculous.
