Default Suggestions needed for yarn

I'm trying to sort and plan without actually taking up needles or hook,
and I'm looking at a few skeins of cotton-nylon boucle fingering I got
from Ranee's de-stashing. It's dark sage green and I really like the
look, but what will I do with it? The skeins are labeled "The Gourmet
Collection - Frosting"; 75% cotton, 25% nylon; hand wash or dry clean;
50 grams/190 yards. Any suggestions?

The content and gauge suggest socks with interesting texture to me, maybe a
small top or camisole.

I thought first of socks until I read "hand wash or dry clean."

Dry cleaning labels are often put on items e.g. your yarn, to be on the
safe side. However handwash for cotton will do, so do not let that scare
you off. How about weaving a scarf, it sounds like lovely yarn to me.

Handwash/dry clean says 'accessories' to me, things you don't want to
wash too often. It also sounds like it would make a good scarf or shawl,
and it'd probably be a shawl if I were making it.

Hth,

I suppose a scarf or shawl would be a good idea...maybe I'll browse
Fiber Trends web site to see whether they have anything suitable.

Hi Spampot,

Check out the Lion Brand website, some neat patterns there too.

Hows the itching?

Hugs,

Nora

Oh wow, now you've distracted me from the fingering stuff I was looking
for patterns for -- that Shawl-collar sweater is mouthwatering! Dare I
print it out...

It almost distracted me from the itching. Thanks for asking; I'm a
teeny bit better. I can actually lie on my right side now. As long as
I don't move. I still can't wear a bra, though, or anything on top
other than this loose fine-gauge knit (on topic!) silk-cotton sweater
set I have spent the last week and a half wearing. For future reference
to any sufferers out there, a combination of bergamot, lavendar, and
eucalyptus essential oils is the only thing that helps that burning itch
and helps dry up the blisters.

This is why I'm typing instead of knitting...sigh...

P.S. The oils also help cover up the fact that I've been wearing the
same thing for a week and a half!
