I took a couple of pics of my WIP, and they're on my Webshots page (click
below). They're the first two pictures in the Quilts album, so they're easy
to find!

Thanx! That sure would be a nice xmas gift in our house. Actually it
would be the best xmas present anyone gets this year. Can't wait to see
it done. Where did you get the smaller panels?? Can you still get the #3
panel at all? If you can I'ld be willing to trade, pay or bribe you for
some.
Thanx
Joanna

I got the panels at Wal-Mart over a year ago. I have no idea if they still
have the fabric, but I have extra panels I'd be more than happy to share.
E-mail me privately (e-mail below my name), and give me your address and
tell me how many you can use, and I'll get them on their way to you.

My pleasure! I think the most fun I had on this one was picking out all the
different reds, blacks, and grays (I used the same white fabric throughout).

Ok I have to admit something here. I glanced over the comment about a
NASCAR quilt with my personal bias. Then after reading the comments, I
peeked at your album. Wow! What a great way to show off the NASCAR panels.
It's a wonderful quilt!!! I love the different blocks added to the panels.
A great design job. So much so that I had a couple moments of thinking
about the two NASCAR enthusiasts I know and thought about making one for
them. But I had another cup of coffee and looked at the list of stuff I
already have to get done. Congratulations on a terrific quilt! Can you
tell I really mean it?? I'm trying to atone for my first impression...even
though I didn't make any public comment.

KJ, after reading your note, I flipped back and took a peek at
the nascar quilt. WOW!
Louise, you did a great job. That is a fantastic study in one of
my fav color ways, black, white and red all over. It is also a
unique way to use what I call 'pillow panels' and has inspired me
to drag out some panels in my stash. I don't have a nascar
interest, but you sure gave me some good ideas.

Kathyl, you're forgiven!!! Hey, I do the same thing sometimes. Thanks for
the compliments -- coming from you (because I really admire your work), they
mean a lot!

I love red, white, and black too, so this seemed like a natural thing for me
to do. It was fun trying to figure out the layout for the various size
blocks. Have fun if you decide to take on a panel quilt!
