Squash Blossom Quilt Done
Just wanted to let you all know I finished my quilt. Can you believe I used 2-600yds of thread of course there were so many pieces to this quilt that I probably wasted one spool with my string cutting. It is beautiful and I used two inner borders to make it a little larger which ended up 63" x 81". Since I do all my quilt tops for the needy, it is just too much work, so want to do easier ones in the future. It was a challenge and at times felt over whelmed. My question to all of you, does anyone else get out of your comfort zone to make harder quilts?

But then again, most of my quilts are not that hard! I enjoy making the type that might be see in the older western movies. Barbara in SC --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |

Do you have a picture posted anywhere where we can see it? It sounds
lovely. -Irene On Saturday, June 21, 2014 8:30:48 AM UTC-6, wrote: Just wanted to let you all know I finished my quilt. Sandy$ in Idaho Hello Marie, No I do not have a picture but get most of my patterns out of quilting magazines. You might still get the magazine name and maybe look it up in their archives. The next one is from "The Quilters magazine" Special edition 2013 and is called Flower Garden which is a 6 x 6 inch block that I am in the process of using a graph to make larger as 6 inches is too small for me.. I also want to make it simpler to make. Sandy$ in Idaho |

I will give the information again for the Squash Blossom quilt that I just finished. Fons and Porter's "Love of Quilting" magazine March/April 2014 issue. Try their archives or back issues.
