Lifting the bar is will leave a tint lace like hole , but is very neat
and helps to recognize AND COUNT the number and place of the decrease
..

You may be right. Upon closer inspection of the pattern Bryan is using,
they are using a different increase -- lifting the bar between two stitches.
This should be done between stitches 1 and 2, and between 8 and 9.
